Aaron provides strategic communications counsel to U.S. and international companies across numerous industries in connection with court supervised and out-of-court restructurings, litigation and other sensitive situations, as well as ongoing public and investor relations.   • Restructuring & Bankruptcy: Recent clients include Arch Coal, Energy XXI, Noranda, Linn Energy, Targus, PREPA, Nautilus Holdings, Excel Maritime, Genco Shipping, Patriot Coal, Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, M*Modal, Associated Wholesalers, Dendreon, A123 Systems and General Maritime.
  • Crisis and Litigation Communications: Recent projects include Flowers Foods, InterOil, Endo, Southwestern Energy, Oculus VR, DirecTV, Kazuo Okada, Universal Entertainment and Aruze USA; US Airways anti-trust action; Amylin; and Yardi. He also advises clients facing crises including federal investigations, regulatory inquiries, harmful legislation, facility disasters, workforce reductions and unplanned leadership changes.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions and Spin-Offs: Notable recent M&A assignments include SolarCity’s pending acquisition by Tesla; InterOil’s pending acquisition by ExxonMobil; DuPont’s pending transaction with Dow Chemical; Keurig Green Mountain’s acquisition by JAB; Centene in its acquisition of Health Net; Con-Way’s acquisition by XPO, Echo Global Logistics in its acquisition of Command Transportation; Endo’s acquisitions of Auxilium and Par and its pursuit of Salix; Lorillard’s transactions with Reynolds America Inc. and Imperial Tobacco; Time Warner’s defense against Twenty-First Century Fox; Men’s Wearhouse’s pack-man defense and merger with Jos. Aaron joined Joele Frank in 2008. He received a JD from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was an editor of the New York International Law Review. He received a BA in history from Carleton College.
