John Roe Joins Joele Frank’s Environmental, Social and Governance Practice as Partner

John brings more than 20 years of governance and data intelligence experience to the firm, having most recently served as Managing Director and Head of Analytics at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), where he led the development of ISS’ quantitative methodologies related to compensation and governance scoring. Prior to ISS, John served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at a registered institutional investor. He previously served on the White House staff, was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, and served as a military officer. John is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the New York Stock Exchange Governance Series, The Wall Street Journal Global Compliance Symposium, the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries, the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, and for National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) programming.

The firm was selected as the winner for the second time in three years following an exhaustive research process involving more than 450 submissions and face-to-face meetings with leading PR firms across North America, EMEA, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Joele Frank was previously honored by The Holmes Report as North American Financial Agency of the Year in 2019, 2017, 2016 and 2012, Global Corporate/Financial Agency of the Year in 2017 and Crisis Firm of the Year in 2009.

Jamie Moser Honored As An Emerging Leader

Jamie Moser, a Partner at Joele Frank, was honored as an “Emerging Leader” in communication at The M&A Advisor’s 10th annual award ceremony in New York. The Emerging Leaders Awards program was created in 2010 to recognize and celebrate M&A, Financing and Turnaround professionals, whose significant level of success, while still under the age of 40, establishes them as the industry’s emerging leaders. Joele Frank partners Meaghan Repko, Sharon Stern, Tim Lynch, Jed Repko, Matthew Sherman, Andrew Siegel and Jon Keehner are past recipients of the Emerging Leaders award.

Joele Frank Named Public Relations Firm of the Year by The Deal

Joele Frank was named Public Relations Firm of the Year for 2019 by The Deal at its annual awards ceremony in New York. The Deal Awards recognizes leaders and innovators in the world of deal-making. The firm also received awards for Activist Campaign of the Year (Papa John’s), Most Innovative Deal of the Year (Dell – VMware) and Private Equity Deal of the Year (athenahealth). The awards follow the review of hundreds of nominations across dozens of categories and sectors, individuals and firms by The Deal's staff of reporters, editors and data analysts.

Jim Golden Receives 40 Under 40 Recognition

Jim Golden, a Partner at Joele Frank, was recently named one of PR Week’s 40 Under 40. According to the magazine, “these standout communications professionals are ready to lead the industry into the future by embracing innovative strategies and sharing their expertise with others starting out in PR.” Jim was cited for his work over the last 15 years in advising high-profile companies on complex, potentially thorny situations, such as M&A, shareholder activism, crisis, litigation support and bankruptcy.
