Woomi provides communications counsel to clients ranging from large, publicly-traded alternative asset managers to newly established private equity, real assets and credit firms. Areas of focus include investor and media relations, profile building and reputation management as well as special situations such as M&A, fundraising, portfolio-level issues and crisis situations. Financial Sponsors

She advises financial sponsors, as well as portfolio companies, on strategic communications including investor and media relations, investment activity and fundraising efforts. Current clients include AEA, Apollo, Blackstone, CC Capital, Cinven, Cornell Capital, Fundamental Advisors, Gridiron, Kayne Anderson, Platinum Equity, Pretium Partners, Quantum Energy, Shorenstein and Tailwater Capital.

Deals & New Listings

She counsels on transactions for public and private companies across sectors, size and geographies. She also advises sponsors on new listings, including IPOs as well as SPAC launches and the de-SPACing process.

Fundraising and Investor Relations

She advises financial sponsors throughout the entire fundraising lifecycle from fund and strategy launches to ongoing marketing activities, interim capital raises and final fund closes. She also works closely with her clients to manage investor communications at both the GP and portfolio level.

Special Situations

She provides issues management counsel to public and private companies experiencing transformative and/or challenging corporate developments, including leadership transitions, crisis and corporate issues, bankruptcy and restructuring, litigation and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Joele Frank in 2021, Woomi spent nearly a decade at Edelman where she helped oversee the firm’s financial communications practice. She began her career in investment banking, where she worked in equity capital markets. Woomi holds a BA in New York University with a double major in journalism and economics.
