Evan provides strategic counsel and communications support to help companies across industries navigate their most high-stakes situations. Whether friendly and unsolicited mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism defense, crisis and litigation management or executive leadership changes, she works with clients to optimize business outcomes that take all stakeholders into consideration. She also works with company executives on corporate narrative development and media and presentation training and assists clients with ongoing investor relations and corporate communications matters.

Evan has worked on a number of large- and small-scale M&A, including Amicus Therapeutics in its pending acquisition by BioMarin; Polaris Inc.’s pending sale of Indian Motorcycle to Carolwood LP; VF Corporation’s sale of Dickies to Bluestar Alliance; MeridianLink’s acquisition by Centerbridge Partners; Pinnacle Financial Partners in its merger with Synovus; Rocket Companies in its acquisitions of Redfin and Mr. Cooper; Thermo Fisher Scientific in its acquisitions of Solventum’s purification & filtration business and Sanofi’s Ridgefield, New Jersey site; TRIUMPH on its acquisition by Warburg Pincus and Berkshire Partners; Honeywell on its announced separation into three-independent public companies; Flowers Foods’ acquisition of Simple Mills; Territorial Bancorp in its acquisition by Hope Bancorp, which was contested by Blue Hill, and CONSOL Energy in its merger with Arch Resources.

Investor Relations and Public Relations

Evan helps clients develop and enhance ongoing investor and public relations programs, including support for quarterly earnings and investor conferences, as well as message development, corporate positioning, profile-raising and thought leadership initiatives and employee communications. She also helps companies reinvent and enhance their corporate and equity narratives, working closely with executives to ensure alignment of the company’s messaging across its stakeholders, and she assists with the firm’s media and presentation training of C-suite executives and company spokespeople.

Crisis and Issues Management

Evan supports management teams and boards of directors in preparing for and responding to a range of complex crises, including government agency inquiries and investigations, earnings surprises and financial restatements, litigation, management succession and unplanned leadership changes, reputational attacks, workforce reductions and short seller reports.

Shareholder Activism Defense

Evan has experience advising companies on public and private activist situations opposite notable investors, including Elliott Investment Management, Third Point, AREX Capital Management, Engine Capital and Vision One, among others.

Credentials

Prior to joining Joele Frank in 2024, Evan worked at Weber Shandwick on the Capital Markets and Corporate Issues team, advising companies involved in mergers and acquisitions and series financing, as well as supporting ongoing investor relations, corporate communications and media relations. She began her career at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association in public affairs, working on advocacy campaigns to support broker-dealers, investment banks and asset managers. Evan received a BA from the College of the Holy Cross, double majoring in English and Art History.
