Jed advises public and private companies on high-impact communications across the full spectrum of investor relations and special situations—from IPOs, M&A and leadership transitions to shareholder activism, employee and social issues and crisis preparedness. His work often involves guiding clients through proxy fights and behind-the-scenes shareholder agitation, as well as building long-term communications strategies that support ongoing IR and corporate reputation. As co-head of our San Francisco office, Jed brings deep experience in technology, software and healthcare, with a nuanced understanding of the dynamics at play in these industries. He is a steady partner to management teams navigating cyber incidents, sensitive internal matters and the evolving expectations of investors and employees.

Personal Side
Jed serves on the Board of McSweeney’s Literary Arts Fund, a nonprofit publishing company based in San Francisco. In addition to operating a daily humor website, McSweeney’s also publishes McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, The Believer, Illustoria Magazine, and an extensive and highly creative list of truly beautiful books of many genres. So much of the reading experience is tactile, and McSweeney’s publishes visually stunning designs that compliment the written word. Some of Jed’s favorite publications include the woodcut version of The Eyes & the Impossible, the fur-covered version of The Wild Things and the singular All Known Metal Bands.
Credentials
Jed joined Joele Frank with more than seven years of financial advisory experience in corporate bankruptcy and restructuring. He was previously a vice president at AlixPartners and an analyst at Kroll Zolfo Cooper. Jed received a BA in art history with a minor in philosophy from Bowdoin College.
